Zoomer The Robotic Dog

Product Review – Zoomer The Robotic Dog

Zoomer is the new robotic dog from Spin Master that looks like a Dalmatian puppy. It&#8217s the most advanced robo-dog that&#8217s been on the market to date. Zoomer is fully articulated and interactive, and best of all while looking and acting like a real puppy, Zoomer is mess-free. No trips to the vet or walks every day, no toilet training, completely hypoallergenic and no responsibility.

Zoomer has a full range of motion with its fully articulated limbs, and with its “ball paws” it can be used on any surface without causing damage. It can also act and move just like a real playful puppy, wagging its tail, rolling around and crouching. Its LED eyes can track movements across the room and turn into hearts when someone says “I love you.&#8221  Zoomer also has voice activated commands and can learn when he is played with.

Who would buy Zoomer?

Zoomer is aimed at anyone 5 years and older. Although primarily aimed at younger children, it also appeals to entire families.

Things We Like About Zoomer

Zoomer has about 30 trainable commands including “here boy,” &#8220play ball,” “speak,” &#8220look at me,” and many more. This is great fun for children who want a pet dog but who are still too young for the responsibility of a real dog. The more that he is played with the more he will learn, and he will also learn to recognize his owners.

One of the cutest features of Zoomer is that he has sensors on his belly so he responds to a belly rub by rolling over and showing hearts in his LED eyes. He can also play dead, and when he does this he appears to fall over and his eyes become X’s. Zoomer even goes to the toilet on command, lifting his back leg and making sounds.

Just like a real dog, if he’s left alone he will go and explore the room and find things to play with and look at.

Things We Don’t Like About Zoomer

One downside to Zoomer is that a full charge, which takes about 30 minutes, will only give 20-40 minutes of play time. So if a child wants to play they will only be able to play in 20-40 minute segments rather than a long play session. On the upside, it can be charged with either a USB or AC, which means you can plug him in almost anywhere.

Is Zoomer Worth The Money?

At about $100 it may seem expensive at first, but with all of Zoomer’s features and tricks the price really isn&#8217t that bad. And it’s much cheaper than the alternative – a real dog.

Customer Reviews of Zoomer

When Zoomer was displayed at the New York Toy Fair before its official release, both children and adults were falling in love with this interactive puppy. Now that it&#8217s been released to the public, the reviews are coming in fast and they’re  all the same &#8211 everyone loves Zoomer.

Where can I buy Zoomer?

Zoomer The Robotic Dog is available in all major toy stores and on Amazon.
